  Welcome to SlopeTrade

- For above average returns Just Follow the Market with SlopeTrade -

It was pretty easy to make money in the stock market in 2009 and 2010, but how will you do in 2011?  Don't get caught again in another bear market just to see the gains you made the last two years evaporate.  And don't miss out on a bull market just because you got burned in the last bear market.   There is a way you can both make money and protect your portfolio.  It's called SlopeTrade™ and it is a stock trading strategy based on  simple moving averages and a price line.  It's easy to do but does require a little knowledge and experience to get it right.  But most of all it requires the discipline to follow the strategy and act quickly.  Don't try to predict the markets.  Don't try to second guess them.  Don't try to fight them. Don't try to figure them out.  Just follow them, but be quick about it!  And most of all don't allow yourself to get caught on the wrong side of the Slope! You should be able to do much better than the market index if you've got the discipline to stick with the SlopeTrade strategy.

Many fund managers will tell you that it is impossible to time the market. Yes it may be impossible for them because of the sheer size of the portfolios they manage, but not for individual investors especially when there is only one stock in their portfolios (an ETF that replicates the market index).  At SlopeTrade we focus on developing trading strategies for the short term because we believe that by looking after the short term the long term will look after itself.  Interested? Then you may want to explore this website in more detail and find out what that one stock is.

Without going short, the only way an individual investor can make any appreciable amount of money in the stock market is through stock price appreciation.  Dividends alone will not give you the return you are looking for and are often a false reason for holding on to a flat or falling stock.  What you need are capital gains. That means you need to buy at the right entry point and sell at the right exit point. That means you need a buy and trade strategy and SlopeTrade is that strategy.
